ARTIST THOUGHTS: I’m so tired. T__T What an understatement. (And I'm not even going to go into the nightmare it was to link those pages.... -_______- ) This is Zen in her most self-abusive art mode, which I dub ‘Stop-living-and-live-like-some-hermit-in-the-side-of-a-hill’ mode. Take that statement rather literally and you might know what I’ve been through these past 10 days, when I first put pencil to paper. My routine for those 10 days was get up, eat breakfast, work on comic, eat lunch, work on comic, eat dinner, work on comic, go to bed at 4 am, dream of comic, wake up and do it all again. I’m not exaggerating either, that’s exactly what it was like. O___O;;;

Why do I do such things? I’m just nuts, don’t mind me. Actually, a few reasons… I go back to uni in 5 days, I’ll have no time to upload anything for another 4 months, and third… you fangirls twisted my arm!!! So yeah, since quite a few of you requested a follow up to “Selective Hearing” or just wanted to see an AlbelxFayt wedding, I caved in. Except of course the whole thing blew WAAAAAY out of proportion and turned into a 9 page beast. The comic was originally going to have the same format as “Selective Hearing” but when I tried, it looked damn ugly. *Cough* >__> It was originally going to consist of Albel trying to kill Sophia three times, but it looked boring. Originally, you could hardly even see Albel’s pretty dress. Um… yeah, the only thing to do was try a full-blown comic.

That said, this is my first ever attempt to make a full-blown comic with proper layout and manga style effects – I’ve drawn comic stories of similar size before, but they were both school and assignment related so don’t count, since my heart wasn’t in it. Where Albel’s involved, my heart is most definitely in it. I’m going to hush up now and just go through each individual page, so that you know a little bit about ‘em…

Page 1 - my least favourite page since I find the layout boring and there’s no action either… I only like how Fayt turned out since he’s been uke-fied to oblivion. Also I’ve never been to a wedding in my life so I don’t know if that’s how the “hold your peace” bit goes… @___o

Page 2 - Fayt and Albel are getting married and all they could afford to invite were GUMMY PEOPLE. O___O The two middle panels killed me. I absolutely loathe drawing furniture, especially when they have to be arranged symmetrically. But Albel’s glower power was worth it.

Page 3 - The carpet is red, stained by the blood of nosebleeds from those in the front row who looked up Albel’s dress. My blood included! On more technical matters, I tried to keep the dress/accessories mildly similar to Albel’s official costume design so that you could kinda always tell it’s him… plus anything more complicated and the walls would be covered with Zen’s exploded grey matter from having to draw it over and over and over again wheeeeeeee….! Also note that I never show Albel’s gauntlet for the whole comic, although I assure you it’s there… in spirit… really though, as if I needed that horrible thing adding to my list of drawing problems. O__O;;;

Page 4 - One of my favourite pages… no word bubbles or sound effects to mess things up, just the images speaking for themselves. Those zoom line image packs I downloaded were an absolute GODSEND. And for those who haven’t played Star Ocean, that’s actually how Albel runs – he ‘scuttles’ along really close to the ground, it’s quite amusing to watch…! By the way, some of you may see the irony in me actually drawing Sophia properly, despite my intense dislike for her. >__> I assure you all, I’m only doing it coz she has to look her best for her funeral.

Page 5 - BANGBANGBANGDIEEEEEE!!!! If this were the actual game though, Sophia would be dog food even before she could get a spell cast. Albel would utterly MAUL her.

Page 6- This page was an absolute pain in the ass. Only grunge brushes helped save it, by helping to get an Explosion-aftermath look to the setting. And er… don’t ask HOW on earth Fayt got out of that Explosion without a hair out of place… um… he must have Fire Protection synthed to that tux, yes yes that must be it.

Page 7 - Fayt is the only person who could come away with their hands still attached to their wrists after a stunt like that… And so the trend of throwing random things at Sophia’s head continues. I never get tired of it.

Page 8- Okayokayokayokay, lamest joke EVER. But try to ignore that. Oh and try to ignore the fangirl chanting at the bottom too, I got a bit carried away. Speaking of the bottom, the Fayt close up at the bottom caused me so much pain that I was actually getting pissed off, and I never get pissed off over pics. O___O;;; I drew it at 3:30 am and… and… it just refused to turn out right. I rubbed the paper raw. Got a callous on my thumb from holding the rubber so much. Please for the love of God tell me Fayt looks right… *sob* T_______T

Page 9 Look at your CD player, or mp3 player. Is “When I’m with you” by Sheriff playing full blast? If not… TURN IT ON NOW.
