Look familiar? Yep, I remade my older ice phoenix pic, and not because I was bored or anything – the problem with the older version was that it was created at a very low resolution (100 dpi, if I recall correctly), which meant I was very limited in what I could do with the image. Pain in the ass to not be able to resize or print it out for stuff. >__<;; So this here is the ice phoenix, remade at 300 dpi and looking a lot clearer for it!

If you compare the two versions, you’ll notice both similarities and differences… I wasn’t able to completely duplicate the head and face of the first version, and I went on a different path with the tail since I’d figured out the pen tool by this point. The wings are pretty much the same, but took one hell of a lot more editing (ie. feather moving ) to get them looking balanced. The background clouds are brushes which I made quickly using cloud photos as reference, but I haven’t made them available for download since my brushes are absolute total crap, and I was only able to hide the crappiness using different opacities and the eraser tool, so please look elsewhere for high quality cloud brush sets! (I’ve provided a link in my “Fell’d” description to a site with some very lovely cloud brushes for free download - [link])

The little design on the chest was just something I threw in randomly… it doesn’t have any significance, or at least, I wasn’t thinking on anything significant when I drew it. Interpret it however you please!
