I had a long description planned since I don’t give myself many chances to talk about my characters, but it was taking ages to write and I don’t have everything figured out anyway, so I ain’t gonna force it. Once I’ve got something coherent down, I’ll edit this description, but then again, I don’t think most of you would care anyway so er… yeah. Anyway, the most that I will say is that this is my character Lyam starting to wake a bit from his sleep, where he constantly maintains a dream of rain. Can’t really say much else without the full description I’m working on in MS Word, so I’ll leave it at that.

As for the technical side, this was my second attempt at digital painting since I was curious about how I’d go about painting a human as opposed to an anthro. Coloured mostly with my tablet, but there were parts where I had to depend on the pen tool to get accurate curved lines ie. the cloak and some of the hair strands. The flowers and phoenix designs on the cloak were traced from motifs I found on pieces of cloth/clothing. Apart from those designs, this pic was painted without any references, so I know there are places where the realism is probably a bit off – any tips and constructive criticism are welcome. ^__^;
